Description
Fleeting explores the fragile nature of time and the surreal way it bends within our dreams. At the center of the piece, a sculpted hand grasps a melting clock, its golden edges dripping downward as if time itself were dissolving. Suspended against a luminous green and gold void, the clock appears caught between solidity and surrender, neither fully stable nor completely lost.
The distortion is not accidental. In dreams, time stretches, folds, accelerates, and disappears. A single moment can hold an entire lifetime. Hours dissolve into seconds. Memory and imagination merge. The melting clock becomes a symbol not only of passing time, but of how dreams both nocturnal and aspirational can exist outside of ordinary chronology.
The hand reaching downward represents human awareness: our instinct to grasp what feels transient, to hold onto moments, people, and visions before they slip beyond our reach. Yet the more tightly we cling, the more fluid time becomes. The piece suggests that time is not meant to be controlled, but experienced.
In the context of Dreams, Fleeting asks a deeper question: are we allowing time to quietly dissolve around us, or are we conscious of the dreams we are meant to pursue before the clock reshapes itself once again?
Time does not break. It transforms and every dream lives within its fragile frame.
